You can transform your PowerPoint presentations into engaging videos with our AI-powered PPT to video tool. You have two options for your video's narration: let our AI create a fresh script, or use your existing PowerPoint speaker notes.
Choose your narration style
1. Using AI-generated scripts
Our AI analyzes your slide content and generates optimized narration scripts to match the content of each slide perfectly. It considers the overall flow of your presentation to create a natural, engaging narration. These AI-generated scripts are fully editable to suit your preferences. Keep the ‘Use speaker notes’ toggle OFF for fresh, AI-generated narration. Existing speaker notes may provide context but won’t be used verbatim.
2. Using your speaker notes
If you've already created speaker notes in your presentation, you can use them as your video's narration script. To use your existing speaker notes, turn the 'Use speaker notes' toggle ON. Your exact speaker notes will be used for the voiceover, ensuring your specific messaging and flow are preserved just as you intended.
Best practices for speaker notes
If you're using your speaker notes, here are five quick tips to make them video-ready:
1. Ensure every slide has speaker notes
When speaker notes are enabled, our AI won't analyze slide content to generate text, so slides without notes will be left blank. Be sure to include speaker notes for all slides if you're using this option. And if you miss something—you can edit the text in the storyboard later.
2. Perfect your punctuation
Ensure you add sentence-ending punctuation, such as periods, exclamation marks, and question marks, to each slide as needed. Clear punctuation helps the AI understand where sentences begin and end, resulting in a more natural-sounding narration. Double-check your spelling and grammar, as the AI will narrate exactly what’s written.
3. Write for speaking
Make your notes conversational, as if you're talking directly to your audience. Use natural language and avoid complex sentences that might sound awkward when spoken. Your goal is to create a narration that flows naturally and engages your audience.
4. Keep it concise
Try to limit yourself to two sentences per slide maximum. Break up longer sentences into shorter ones to maintain a natural pace in the narration. This helps prevent scenes from becoming overwhelmed with unnecessary text and keeps your audience engaged.
5. Add special instructions
Use our pronunciation feature for technical terms or unique names to ensure they're voiced correctly. Include transition phrases between slides to help your video flow smoothly from one point to the next. These small details can significantly improve the quality of your video.
Remember that you have full control over the final product regardless of whether you choose AI-generated scripts or your speaker notes. You can edit any script directly in the storyboard and modify the narration until it's exactly right for your video.
