How to turn off automatic keyword highlighting

Learn how to disable automatic keyword highlighting in Pictory and manually select your keywords.

Whether you’re working with a script you’ve pasted or one generated by AI, Pictory analyzes your text and automatically highlights keywords to select visuals relevant to your script.

If you prefer to manually choose your keywords or disable this feature altogether, here’s how you can turn it off:

  1. After starting with either Text to video or URL to video, you’ll reach the Text Editor page (shown in the screenshot below).

  2. On the right-hand panel, go to the Scene settings section.

  3. Toggle off the third option – 'Highlight keywords with AI'.

Pictory will remember your preference for future projects, but you can always adjust it manually whenever you like.

If you want to manually highlight keywords instead, you can do so on the Storyboard page.
