How to use Presenter Layouts in Pictory
Presenter Layouts make it easy to create professional presenter-style videos featuring an avatar alongside your slides, visuals, or text.
Instead of manually resizing and positioning an avatar on every scene, you can start with a ready-made layout designed specifically for presenter videos.
What are Presenter Layouts?
Presenter Layouts are predefined video layouts that organize an avatar presenter and your content within the same scene.
They can help you create:
Online courses and educational videos
Training and instructional content
Explainer videos
Marketing videos
Talking-head-style presentations
Videos featuring a presenter alongside slides or other visuals
Presenter Layouts are available in the Layouts tab alongside Pictory’s other scene layouts.
How to apply a Presenter Layout
Open your video in the Pictory editor.
Select the scene you want to update.
Open the Layouts tab.
Find the Presenter Layouts category.
Select the layout you want to apply.
Resize or reposition the avatar as needed.
The selected layout gives your scene a structured presenter format while still allowing you to adjust the avatar’s placement and size.
Repeat these steps for any other scenes where you want to use a presenter layout.

Can I switch to another Presenter Layout?
Yes. You can select another Presenter Layout while continuing to work with the same scene content.
Do Presenter Layouts create an avatar for me?
No. Presenter Layouts organize an avatar within your scene. Avatar creation and editing are managed separately in Pictory.
Does Pictory use AI to position the presenter?
No. Presenter positioning is based on professionally designed layouts rather than AI-generated placement.
Do Presenter Layouts include advanced avatar animations?
No. Advanced avatar animation controls are not part of the Presenter Layouts feature.
Do Presenter Layouts work for vertical and square videos?
Yes. Presenter Layouts adapt across all aspect ratios currently supported by Pictory.
