When a team member shares an asset with you, you will receive an email notification to check out the shared asset. If you are a bit confused about where to find an asset that has been shared with you, then this is the article for you.

Before we proceed, let's clarify that on Pictory, you can share 4 types of assets:

  1. Visuals

  2. Audio

  3. Brands

  4. Projects

Now, let's delve into where you can find each one on your account. Assuming you are in more than one team's workspace, please note that you can't access shared assets of one team's workspace in a different workspace. Shared assets will always be found in the workspace where the sharer is.

Where to find shared visuals

  1. Click the 'Go to my team' button in the email notification to go to Pictory.

  2. Log in to your account and switch to the team's workspace of the user who shared the asset with you.

  3. In the team's workspace, open a project β€” this can be any project at all in that workspace, it doesn't matter.

  4. Once you've opened a project, you will be taken to the storyboard.

  5. On the storyboard, go to 'Visuals' on the left menu, then go to 'My uploads'.

  6. The first visual on the tab will be the newest visual and the one shared with you. You will also see the shared by tag on the visual indicating which team member shared the project with you.

Where to find shared audio

  5. On the storyboard, go to 'Audio' on the left menu, then go to 'My uploads'.

  6. The first audio file on the tab will be the newest audio and the one shared with you. You will also see the shared icon next to the file. You can click this icon to clarify which team member shared the file with you.

Where to find shared brands

  1. Click the 'Go to my team' button in the email notification to go to Pictory.

  2. Log in to your Pictory account and switch to the team's workspace of the user who shared the brand with you.

  3. In the team's workspace, go to the brands' page- 'Brand kits' on the header.

  4. On the brands' page, the first brand will most likely be the latest brand shared with you. You will also see the 'shared with' tag on the project card indicating the team member who shared the project with you.
