AI voiceovers may sometimes mispronounce certain words, especially:

  • Non-English words

  • Number clusters

  • Numbers with decimals and signs

  • Mathematical notations

  • Abbreviations and acronyms

We understand this challenge, which is why we allow you to customize the pronunciation of words that the AI voiceover may not have gotten right.

How to Add Pronunciation

1. On the storyboard, add an AI voiceover to your video. Preview the video to identify which words the AI may have mispronounced. You must apply an AI voiceover first before you can customize the pronunciation of a word.

2. Go to the Story tab and navigate to the scene with the mispronounced word you want to fix. Then double-tap on the word to select it.

3. Click the pronunciation icon that appears once a word is selected. Note: You can only select one word at a time for fixing pronunciation.

5. The icon will open a pop-up where you can enter the custom pronunciation of the word by spelling/typing it out as you want it pronounced.

6. Play the preview of your custom spelling to ensure it sounds right. If it does, click 'Apply' to fix it.

7. You can apply the pronunciation to all occurrences by ticking 'Apply to all occurrences'. This saves you from fixing the same word across different scenes.

8. Once applied, the word will be underlined with the pronunciation icon next to it.

9. Update your voiceover to ensure your new pronunciations are added. Simply click 'Preview' or 'Apply changes' on the voiceover tab.

10. Don't worry - your customizations are only visible to you and won't be reflected in the text that appears on the scene.

How to Remove Pronunciation

1. To remove pronunciation on any word, go to the Story tab, then to the scene, click the pronunciation icon next to the word, and click 'Remove'.

2. If you want to remove the custom pronunciation from all occurrences of the word, make sure to tick 'Also apply to all other occurrences' before clicking 'Remove'.

3. This will immediately remove the applied customization on the word.

Remember to update your voiceover after making any changes to ensure they're reflected in the final audio.
