Eligibility

Custom Avatars (CA) and Instant Voice Clones (IVC) are exclusive features available to users on Pro, Teams, and Enterprise plans.

1. Creating Your Custom Avatar Clone

A custom avatar is a digital clone of your video appearance and voice. When you create an avatar, your voice becomes the default voice for that avatar.

Steps to Create:

  1. Head to the Avatars menu and click on "Create new" and follow instructions

  2. Upload Training Footage: You must provide high-quality video footage of yourself. (Record for a minimum of 2 minutes for best results.)

  3. Upload Consent Footage: To ensure security and authenticity, you are required to upload a video of yourself providing explicit consent for the cloning.

  4. Process: Once uploaded, Pictory will create your avatar and associated voice clone. These are available for use in your Avatars / Audio Menu's very similar to existing stock avatars and voices.

  5. If needed, you can pan your face within the avatar to center it.

2. Creating Your Instant Voice Clone

If you only need a digital version of your voice without a video avatar, you can create an Instant Voice Clone.

Steps to Create:

  1. Head to the Audio Menu and click on "Create new" and follow instructions

  2. Upload Training Voice: Provide a clear audio sample of your voice.

  3. Consent: Similar to avatar cloning, you must provide consent before the voice clone can be generated.

  4. Result: Your voice will be added to your voice menu for use in any project.

Managing Your Clones

  • Account Limits: There is a limit of 5 Custom Avatars and 5 Instant Voice Clones per account.

  • Deletion: Deleting a Custom Avatar will also automatically delete the voice clone associated with it.

    • An IVC created as part of an avatar cannot be deleted directly from the audio menu; you must delete the corresponding avatar instead.

    • Deleting a clone will remove it from all projects where it is currently applied, though exported videos are not affected. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Team Sharing: Clones are available in the workspace where they were created by default.

    • You can share your clones with your team. Once shared, they will appear in the team's avatar and audio menus with a "shared asset" indicator.

    • Sharing a Project or a Brand Kit automatically shares Avatar clones or voice Clones with the respective team members.

    • Sharing can be revoked by the owner at any time.

Usage and Credits

  • Creation Cost: Creating a Custom Avatar or Voice Clone is free.

  • Usage Cost: Using your Custom Avatar to generate a video costs 35 Credits per 30 seconds

  • Using your Voice Clone counts against your regular ElevenLabs minutes.
