Too much text on one scene can overwhelm the scene leaving little or no room for the visuals. This defeats the point of the video and if you are looking for a way to control how much text appears on each video scene, then read on to learn more.
β
On the script editor
To control the text that will appear in each scene, we have 3 options:
On the homepage, select the first box β 'Script to video'.β
On the script editor, go to 'Scene settings' on the top right corner.
From the dropdown menu, go to 'Create new scenes on'.
Select 'Sentence breaks (.)' to create a new scene at the end of every sentence.
Select 'Line breaks' to create a new scene by hitting ENTER.
Select 'Both' to create a new scene by hitting Enter and at the end of every sentence.
These settings are on by default and we recommend leaving them as they are unless you want to make specific adjustments to your text.
On the storyboard
If you still have too much text on one scene after adjusting your settings on the script editor as described above, you can reduce the text on a scene by using the 'split scene' button. Please read this article to learn how you can achieve this.
