If your scene contains long text and you want it to appear on your screen in smaller parts, the Split Scene function is the ideal solution. Follow these steps to use this feature effectively:

Steps to Split a Scene

1. On the storyboard, go to the 'Story' tab and then to a scene you wish to split the text into smaller blocks.

2. Select the scene and place your cursor at the exact point where you want to split the text.

3. Once the cursor is placed at any point between two letters or words on the scene, a split scene button will displayed at the top right corner of that particular scene.

4. Click on the 'Split Scene' button.

5. The text will be immediately divided into two separate scenes from the point where the cursor is. (So make sure you place your cursor where you want the text to be split).

Things to consider while using the Split Scene function

  1. We recommend finalizing all text edits including splitting scenes if needed before applying voice-over to the video. This is because splitting scenes will trigger changes to the voiceover so it's best to complete this before you move on to applying a voiceover.

  2. The two scenes created after a split are linked by default, meaning they will share the same visual. You can unlink them and change the visuals if needed.

  3. The Split Scene function is only available for 'Article to Video' and 'Script to Video' options

For more information on managing scene relationships, see the article "Linking and Unlinking Scenes".
