How to Apply the Color Overlay

Follow these steps to apply a color overlay to any visual in your video:

  1. On the storyboard, go to a scene and select the visual you want to apply the color overlay to.

  2. Click the ‘Color overlay’ button on the visuals bar, which appears once a visual is selected in the viewport.

3. In the overlay tab on the left, choose your preferred color and set the opacity to your desired value by sliding the slider or entering a number in the input field.

4. As you apply the color and opacity values, you will see the effects displayed in the viewport on the right.

5. Use this preview to determine what looks best in your video and stop when you find a style that suits you.

6. Your changes are auto-saved, so you don’t need to do anything else once you are done.

How to Remove the Color Overlay

Follow these steps to remove a color overlay from any visual in your video:

  1. On the storyboard, go to a scene and select a visual with a color overlay already applied.

  2. Click the ‘Styles’ button on the visuals bar, which appears once a visual is selected in the viewport.

3. In the overlay tab on the left, select the first card labeled ‘None’.

4. This will automatically remove the color overlay from the selected visual.
