Applying a text animation will add the animation to the selected text box based on predefined default settings. However, you can customize these settings to match your preferences.

The three available modifiers for text animations are:

  1. Speed

    • Options: Fast, Medium, Slow

  2. Direction

    • Options: Up, Down, Left, Right

  3. Writing Style

    • Options: Letter, Word, Line, Box

When you select a modifier, you will immediately see a preview of the animation on the selected text box in the viewport. You can experiment with different options and modifiers until you find the style that suits you.

It's important to explore your options with the different animations. For instance:

  • Some animations may look better at a fast speed, while others are more effective slow.

  • The direction of the animation can change its impact; for example, some animations may be more appealing coming from the right rather than the left.

  • The writing style can also make a big difference; you might prefer a word-by-word animation over a line-by-line one.

You have the freedom to set these modifiers according to your preferences if the defaults don't meet your needs.

Not all animations have the same set of modifiers. The available modifiers will differ depending on the selected animation, but each animation provides enough options to give you some control over how the text is animated in your video.
